Ayesha Inam is a Computer Software Engineer, a STEM Education Specialist, and Project-Based Learning Practitioner by passion. Currently designated at a private micro-school, Leo’s Workshop by Beaconhouse; as the Head Facilitator of the school. She co-founded the STEM Lab Pakistan in 2016 and also serves as its Creative Director. The STEM Lab Pakistan is an organisation that promotes and inculcates a love for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in young children, especially young girls. She loves interacting and engaging with children, helping them learn how the world works; through gamification, game-based and play-based activities. In her leisure time, she likes to read books, perform crazy science experiments with her two biological kids and meditate whenever she can.
Mehek Rashad is a Metallurgy and Materials Engineer , a STEM education Specialist. She cofounded the STEM Lab Pakistan with her best friend who fortunately also turned out be a great software geek. She has a super chirpy personality and a positive outlook on life. She is interested in exploring the world around her and understanding how things work. She enjoys tinkering with materials and conducting explosive experiments. She is a natural problem solver and a creative thinker not afraid to embrace her passions.
Talkshop Description:
We will start with a talk about how and why we started The STEM Lab, basically we started this as two Engineer Graduates, to understand the concepts related to Science, Tech, Engineering and Math from the scratch – ZERO. Moving on to a STEM Challenge for all the Art and Design students in our session related to the theme Zero. Where the students will follow the Design Thinking Process to complete an Art And Design Challenge, connecting STEM with Art and Design
