M. Isfandyar Khan likes to believe that he’s a musician. He also likes to believe that he is an architect. Another part of his belief system is the belief that he understands the science of language. Is he taking himself too seriously or is he just cosmic dust who was here for just one microsecond?

In The Sound of Zeros and Ones, the exploration of language, music, and architecture will take place simultaneously from at first a historical point of view and then a contemporary one. What came first? Music or language? Language or shelter? Shelter or music? If I stop writing can music become a stopgap? Or would nothingness and silence suffice? If the vocal cords aren’t strained to sing can architecture sing for us? Do we need singing more than languaging? Or is singing a form of languaging? The presenter believes that he’s no better than his audience. At point zero can the audience take him and themselves to point one?
